The United Kingdom Maritime Trade Operations (UKMTO) Center has issued an advisory after receiving a late third party report that a vessel, reportedly a Kuwiati owned very large crude carrier (VLCC), was struck by an unknown projectile while transiting the Strait of Hormuz yesterday resulting in a fire. The crew is safe and there is no environmental impact.
