The patient, a motorcycle taxi driver from Haut-Uele, visited multiple health facilities before dying. Fellow motorcycle taxi drivers attempted to retrieve his body, prompting the police to intervene. The outbreak has now infected 4,566 people, including 2,128 deaths.
